DJ Trump still retains formidable powers even though I completely agree with the valid and accurate critique of his failures as President. Those powers include Executive Orders, the Veto, Commander in Chief of the US Military, Executive over the most important Federal Agencies, and powers of Appointment (mitigated somewhat by the Senste). In these various capacities he also retains a near unilateral power of US Foreign Policy with Congress largely reduced to grandstanding and complaining in response if they don’t agree with what he elects to do. Now given Trump’s personality, his Term Limit as President, and his obvious ability to comfortably disregard offending his constituents, and his domestic and foreign allies, let alone his enemies; what do you predict that he will do? As a man of action, I predict that he will “act” quite a bit and quite strongly. He may be lame duck by previous standards for elected officials concerned with their party, their ideological movement, their personal legacy, or even the common good of their nation. He exhibits no such concerns, however, unlike his predecessors. So, excepting some domestic policies, I don’t expect him to be lame such at all. In fact, quite the opposite.
Politicians do not die. They are like Dracula and the undead. Just when things get dark they will strike. Like parasites they quickly multiple and they are difficult to eliminate.
