I’m not pro-immigration necessarily. I live in a ‘multicultural’ area and I wince when I see them waving Syrian flags about in the streets. But ultimately if they can overpower our culture then we are simply weak and must become strong. The presence of Pakistani people here does not somehow magically prevent the renewal and flourishing of British culture. Most nations in the world have interpenetrating ethnic groups due to overlapping land borders (France Germany, US Mexico) but why does the presence of the other necessarily weaken your own culture? UK culture was atrophying prior to influx of mass migration (e.g. we’re all typing out these messages about our culture while probably wearing blue jeans 👖)
